There is a theory that is based on the negative calorie diet that states that there are certain foods that have ample amount of minerals and vitamins that are proved to be helpful in speeding up the production of enzymes in large amounts that not only breaks down its own calories but also a few additional calories that are there in the digestive system.

Although there are no foods that can be categorize as negative calorie food, there are some food products that use a few extra calories to get the food digested. The various food products that can be included in the negative calorie diet include grape fruit, asparagus, pineapple, papaya as well as water melon. The calories that are generated from these foods are hard for the body to utilize. For extracting these calories from the food products, there has to a hard work performed by the body that helps the person in reducing weight.
There are different food products but they might have the same amount of calories in them. In the negative calorie food, very few of these calories are converted into fat as there are very few calories that are available for the body. This supposedly provides the negative calorie food products an advantage natural fat burning. Even though there are certain confusions related to the negative calorie diet, there is belief amongst the people that if the negative calorie diet provides the people with the fewer calories and eat healthier food products, one can include it in the daily diet and make it a positive start for the weight loss program.
