7-day Cabbage Soup Diet Recipe For Flat Belly

The 7-day Cabbage Soup Diet is basically a low calorie, modified fat diet that works by restricting your meal choices to a very narrow selection. Although the other foods on the list include dairy, meat, vegetables and fruits, dieters eat the cabbage soup at every meal. The good news is that there are several variations of this staple part of the diet allowing at least for a bit of excitement for your taste buds during the seven days.

The recipe for the cabbage soup uses an assortment of low-calorie vegetables and gains its flavor from using any seasonings that you prefer. The typical recipe is very simple to prepare once you have gathered all of the ingredients.
To prepare the soup you will need a large pot capable of holding all of the ingredients plus 12 cups of water. Be sure to use a cooking spray instead of oil to sauté your vegetables for the soup mixture. You will need the following ingredients:
• 12 cups of water
• 1 celery stick, diced
• 1/2 head green cabbage, diced
• 3 carrots, sliced
• 2 bell peppers, sliced
• 6 large green onions, diced
• 2 cans of tomatoes, diced or whole
• Seasonings and Cooking spray
• 1 package dry onion soup mix
• 2 bouillon cubes, either chicken or beef
Set aside the cabbage and tomatoes and first sauté all of the vegetables until cooked thoroughly. Add the 12 cups of water, cabbage, onion soup mix, bouillon and seasonings. Allow the soup to cook until tender and then add the tomatoes.
